Google’s smart jacket can now light up your sleeve and find your phone

0

The Levi Commuter jacket with Google’s Project Jacquard tech launched in September. The first big update is rolling out now to the jacket. Yes, that’s right, your jacket can now get software updates. This update brings two new features. Illuminate and Find Your Phone.

The Illuminate feature turns the sleeve tag into a flashlight. You can also use it to blink, which is great for flagging a car or making yourself more visible at night. If that’s not enough, there’s also a strobe effect. The Find My Phone feature will ring your connected phone at max volume so you can find it.

$350 isn’t cheap for a jacket, so it’s nice to see new features rolling out. There aren’t many Jacquard users in the world right now, but maybe new features will bring in users.
