The ASUS Chromebook Flip C101 is a refresh of the original Chromebook Flip that launched last year. The newest iteration of the Chromebook convertible has been available for a few months now overseas, but it’s now available for pre-order in the US for $299. The release date appears to be September 25th.
ASUS Chromebook Flip C101 Specs
- 10.1 WXGA touchscreen with 1280 x 800 resolution
- Rockchip RK3399 Quad-Core 2.0 GHz processor
- 16GB of storage space
- 4GB RAM
- USB Type C port for charging
- Weighs less than 2lbs
- 9 hours of battery life
ASUS says the battery life on this device should last you up to 9 hours and it’s worth noting that Android apps are supported, if a little buggy on Chrome OS devices at the moment. My only real complaint with the device is that it doesn’t have a 1080P screen for reading comics and watching movies, but perhaps ASUS will take a hint from Amazon and we’ll see a Full HD display on next year’s Chromebook Flip.
