How well does the Moto Z2 Force stand up against a durability test? [VIDEO]

More folks are starting to get their hands on the Moto Z2 Force, now that it’s officially available, and that means people finding out how durable this device is. JerryRigEverything has published his latest durability test, showing off just how durable the Z2 Force really is, and the results aren’t all that surprising.

There have been many complaints already about Motorola’s ShatterShield display, as it does not really protect the device from scratches or indentations. This is further proven by the video above, as it scratches at a level 3, proving that the exterior is nothing more than some flimsy plastic.

The rest of the durability test confirms that Motorola went the extra mile with the rest of the build, as the device is made from aluminum. What’s interesting is that Motorola opted to use standard glass on the rear camera housing, as it does not easily scratch. This is great news if you’re worried about your camera getting scratched up, but the same can’t be said about the front-facing camera.

Regardless, it’s worth noting that if you decide to jump for the Moto Z2 Force, you’ll likely end up sending your phone to Motorola to replace the plastic coating on the ShatterShield display. Or, you could check out some tempered glass screen protectors to keep your screen clear of any anomalies.

Let us know what you think about these findings and if this durability test has deterred you from picking up the Moto Z2 Force.
