All the way back at CES 2017, ASUS confirmed a brand new device which would not only be compatible with Google Daydream but would also be compatible with Google Tango. This means that the device is the first of its kind to offer both AR and VR functionality.
The problem with this device, named the ASUS ZenFone AR, is that after it was announced at CES, there was no information shared regarding when it would launch or what the cost would be. Luckily, if you’ve been waiting impatiently for the device, that wait is now over.
If you’re a Verizon customer and want to pre-order the ZenFone AR, you can do so for a total price of $648 or $27 per month. If you want the unlocked variant, ASUS has stated those will be available at some time today (8/3) with pricing to begin at $599.
As a reminder, the spec sheet reads as follows:
- 5.7-inch WQHD Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC
- 6GB/8GB RAM
- 64GB/128GB Storage
- 23MP TriCam
- 3,300mAh Battery
This is a pretty impressive spec sheet, even if the ZenFone AR is powered by 2016’s processor and not the Snapdragon 835. Regardless, hit the button below to pre-order the ZenFone AR and let us know what your favorite feature is.
