Samsung is working on a new wearable device, as they always are, but it won’t be a traditional smartwatch. According to information from Samsung, this next device is looking to be something different. It won’t be the Gear S4 or a full-fledged smartwatch.
The information comes from a survey that Samsung has sent to SmartLab Plus members. The survey specifically says the new product “takes the best bits from the Gear S3 and Gear Fit 2.” It’s in the form of a smartwatch, but it has a smaller body and thinner straps.
Samsung mentions fitness features and being swim-proof. It seems like this will be a fitness-first device, like the Gear Fit, but in the shape of a smartwatch. A more traditional looking fitness device is easier to wear in every occasion. We don’t know when we’ll see this device, but it sounds very interesting.
