You can now purchase the unlocked Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus

If you were waiting for the unlocked Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus to go on sale, the wait is now over. Yesterday, Samsung and Best Buy started shipping the unlocked units, while making them available for purchase online. This comes after the devices were listed for pre-order earlier in May, along with Samsung offering a BOGO deal for the unlocked variants.

Of course, there were a bunch of different promotions being made available from different carriers, but some folks aren’t keen on dealing with being under the thumb of a carrier. This is why the unlocked variants are so important to various folks. e

Regardless, if you want to pick up the unlocked Galaxy S8, you can do so from Best Buy or Samsung for $725, while the Galaxy S8 Plus is priced at $825. If you decide to snag an unlocked model, let us know in the comments below, or let us know why you opted for the carrier-locked variant.
