Android now has over 2 billion users

Sundar Pichai opened up the Google I/O 2017 keynote with a very interesting stat: Android now has over 2 billion users.

This is the big milestone leap that Google promised when the company professed their interest in having Android reach the next billion users.

It’s clear by now that Android isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and as more manufacturers create more and more devices — as well as more accessible devices — there’s no reason Google can’t get to, well, that next billion.
