One of the first bits of info we’re hearing about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pertains to its screen size. A reputable leakster out of Weibo is suggesting that Samsung has gone with a 6.3-inch panel for the device.
Of course, on paper that makes it sound like a bonafide monstrosity, but Samsung is surely going to stick with that new 18.5:9 aspect ratio they’ve taken a liking too. Not a bad idea, that, considering that its use on the Samsung Galaxy S8 helped contribute to one of the best launches in company history.
In actuality, it’ll only be 1 inch bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, and we reckon that extra room could be used to help squeeze an S-Pen in somewhere.
The rumor also suggests Samsung will look to include the dual-rear camera module they wanted to use on the Galaxy S8, but couldn’t due to lack of time. If true, it could also be further confirmation that Samsung will look to introduce a fingerprint sensor beneath the glass, another feature they wanted for the Galaxy S8 but couldn’t muster in time.
If the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was the biggest failure in Samsung’s history, then the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 — if these rumors pan out — sure sounds like it could more than make up for it.
