By It seems Huawei sub-brand Honor may be joining the “DOWN WITH USEFUL TECHNOLOGY” crowd. Recently leaked renders of the Honor 9 show the device doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It does have a USB-C port, so getting audio should be easy enough if you have a pair of USB-C headphones. If not, you’ll probably need to fiddle around with an adapter.
Either way, it’ll be pretty upsetting to those who swear by 3.5mm. This is a trend that likely won’t die, especially with Apple being one of the early proponents of its death. The industry is going to follow, because that’s just what happens. Let’s get used to it.
