Samsung stands firm on suggesting there are no display defects in the Galaxy S8

Samsung just got done battling a quality assurance nightmare and a political scandal, so they can ill afford to take another stumble with their first 2017 flagship. That’s why they’re being pretty vocal about some early Galaxy S8 concerns.

You can see some of those red tinted displays here.

One of those concerns is that some devices appear with a reddish hue throughout the display. Many users initially thought this was a flaw, but Samsung has a color tuner setting that alleviates these issues. Despite that, Samsung will issue a software update to address the problem.

And even with that, the company still felt compelled to double down on noting that there’s nothing wrong in their latest financial conference call:

Due to the nature of Super AMOLED displays, there can be natural differences in color. Users can optimize the color depending on their preferences.

So there you have it. We’re sure the next mild issue to pop up will spurn just as much anxiety, so brace yourselves.
