T-Mobile’s LG G5 is getting Nougat today

0

LG G5 owners on T-Mobile will wake up to an exciting treat today. The device is getting Android 7.0 Nougat in an over-the-air update rollout.

It’s not all too surprising that the LG G5 is one of the first phones getting the goods, what with LG having launched the first non-Pixel phone to ship with Nougat out of the box in the LG V20. Quick porting and testing lead to quick updates, and we know T-Mobile to be pretty good about that on their end, too.

Anyway, you’re looking at a 1.2GB patch that includes all the Nougat goods, as well as the November security updates. The update will head to your phone automatically, but if you’re as eager and anxious for new updates as we always are, you can check for yourself by heading to Settings > General > About phone > Update center > System update > Check for update.
