46 likes – Google announced a new feature for its Search and Maps applications. The new “Popular Times” feature allows users to see how long others would stay at a particular place, as well as the hours for the location.

#8 – New Battery Tech

47 likes – A new battery technology is being researched at UCF which shows that batteries can be charged fully in seconds and will last for days. The research also shows that the battery capacity didn’t degrade after 30,000 cycles.

#7 – Play Store Game Reviews

48 likes – Google started rolling out a new interface for game reviews within the Play Store. This new interface adds a “Review Highlights” section which shows specific ratings for different aspects of the game.

#6 – Allo BuzzFeed Stickers

48 likes – Google partnered with BuzzFeed to release a new sticker pack for Google Allo. This new sticker pack was designed by BuzzFeed’s illustrator and contants an assortment of animated options.

48 likes – Android Pay was recently updated and the APK teardown shows that Google is preparing to release promotional games that will net users real-world prizes.

#4 – Google WiFi Speed

49 likes – Google partnered with an independent testing firm to compare the performance of Google WiFi against the competition. The results show Google WiFi performing more than 50% better than both other options.

#3 Google Mobile Traffic

49 likes – A new report shows that Google now accounts for more than 90% of all mobile search traffic, which is an increase of 10% when compared to the same time frame as 2015.

#2 – Google Phone 7.0 Update

50 likes – Google’s stock Phone application was updated to version 7.0 and allows users to block or report numbers from the users contact list. The update also includes a new swipe-up gesture when answering a phone call.

#1 Play Store Top Charts UI

51 likes – Google has been testing various UI changes to the Play Store and the latest update changes the spacing between the top bar and the list of applications, while allowing you to hide applications that you’ve already installed from the Top Charts list.
