At Google’s event last month, the company introduced the new Pixel and Pixel XL, as well as a brand new Chromecast, dubbed the Chromecast Ultra. The latest iteration includes support for 4K video playback, faster and more reliable Wi-fi, and is priced at $69.

Those who were among the first to pre-order the new Ultra have started receiving shipment notifications. Google announced that the Ultra would be coming sometime in November, but did not share a specific date. Additionally, retailers such as Target and Best Buy have yet to start selling the device, leaving us wondering when the actual release date is.
If you weren’t one of the first individuals to pre-order the Ultra, you’ll have to wait a bit longer. Currently, Google is suggesting for interested parties to join the waitlist as the company has seemingly run out of its initial stock.
With the Xiaomi Mi Box and Chromecast Ultra both priced at $69, which option would you prefer? The Android TV experience from Xiaomi, or the ability to quickly pick up and take the Chromecast with you wherever you go.
