Pokemon Go started off with a bang and while it is still the top grossing app in the Google Play Store, there’s not as much excitement around the game as there was at launch. In an effort to help rectify that and keep people playing every day, Niantic has made some changes the way Pokemon Go works.
First up are new daily bonuses that can be collected for performing in-game tasks like catching Pokemon. There are even extra bonuses for doing it for seven straight days, which shows just how much Niantic wants to keep its player base catching them all. Here’s a quick breakdown on the new daily bonuses:
Catch a Pokemon every day:
- 500 XP
- 600 Stardust
Catch a Pokemon every day for seven days in a row:
- 2,000 XP
- 2,400 Stardust
Visit a PokéStop every day:
- 500 XP
- Additional items
Visit a PokéStop every day for seven days in a row:
- 2,00 XP
- More additional items
The bonuses reset every day at 12AM on your local time, so as long as you catch at least one Pokemon every single day you’ll begin to activate these bonuses. Collecting Stardust is no joke for those who want to evolve their Pokemon, so this is a great incentive to get people back into the app.
