Today’s the day we are expecting to see the unveiling of the Honor 8 in the United States. The company announced last month that it would be holding an event in San Francisco on August 16th and that day has arrived.
The biggest reason behind the assumption that this new device will be the Honor 8 is in regards to the original invitation which featured a dual-lens camera module shaped together like an 8. The Honor 8 was already introduced in China last month and features an impressive spec sheet with an Octa-core Kirin 950 processor, 3 or 4GB of RAM and a dual-12MP camera module.
It hasn’t been confirmed that this is the device we’ll see today, but that’s what we’ll be hedging our bets on. For those who can’t make it out to San Francisco, Honor still wants you to get in on the action as the company will be live-streaming the event here.
Phandroid has boots on the ground at the event and we’ll be sure to bring you all the latest news from the announcement later today. The event begins today at 8PM PST (11PM EST) and will be live-streamed from Honor’s website directly. Drop us a line below to let us know what you think Honor will be unveiling today and if you’ll be watching the event.
