Android Wear-powered Fossil Q Wander and Marshal up for pre-order this Friday, August 12th

Introduced earlier this year, Fossil’s upcoming Android Wear smartwatches — the Fossil Q Wander and Fossil Q Marshal — now have an official launch date: August 29th. What’s more, is Fossil also announced that both watches will be available for pre–order this Friday, August 12th.

Priced at $295 for either model, the more feminine looking Wander features “soft” curves and comes in a nice rose gold color. Marshal on the other hand, features a larger, more rugged case, with vintage style leather straps. Both watches run on Android Wear, feature an always-on display, come with a microphone and speaker, and are compatible with Android and iOS.

For those wondering if these will also suffer the same fate as the Moto 360 and come with the dreaded “flat tire” (black bar on the bottom bezel), it’s tough to say as Fossil keeps using the same all-black watch faces to disguise it. We’re guessing they will, but it’s still too early to say. Maybe we’ll find out more this Friday when pre-sales go live on Fossil’s website.
