Nexus devices could be getting a cool new feature when the next batch are due out of the oven. Android Police reports that the upcoming Nexus Sailfish and Marlin phones will include swipe gestures.

One of the gestures detailed was a swipe down to bring up the notification tray. It’s a convenient little feature that lets you access your notifications without having to use a second hand or stretch your thumb.

The Nexus phones wouldn’t be the first on the market to exhibit such behavior. Huawei already does it on some of their latest phones, and Apple has had gestures built into the TouchID button on iPhones for some time now.

Despite that, we’re still excited to see Google adding new hardware and software tricks to Nexus phones to take full advantage of today’s technology. Now, if only we could get an announcement of some sort.
