It’s a global belief by now that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will have an iris scanner onboard. The company even launched the feature in one of their affordable devices earlier this year, which is usually a telltale sign that it’s about to show up in a flagship.
Today, our first tangible evidence of that might have arrived. Android Authority has obtained an alleged image of the device’s front panel, and on it, you can see there are just too many holes for your simple array of camera, light, and proximity sensors. It looks a lot like the leaked render we were treated to not long ago.
This, of course, isn’t hard confirmation that the extra hole or 2 may be for an iris scanner. Perhaps Samsung has gone made and placed dual front-facing selfie cameras on it? That’s unlikely, but we always have to keep the possibility open that there’s more than meets the eye with these rumors. What’s your take?
