The Honor 5C is officially coming to Europe. For those who have already forgotten the Honor 5C was unveiled in China in late April. The European version of the Honor 5C is equipped with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Kirin 650 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (up to 128GB), 13 megapixel main camera which is capable of capturing HDR flash photos, 8 megapixel front-facing camera and a 3,000 mAh battery. The only difference between the Honor 5C in Europe and China is that the EU model does not feature a fingerprint sensor.
On the software front, the Honor 5C is running on Android 6.0.1 with EMUI 4.1. Honor also says that the phone is built using a new quality assurance standard for the company. This means that the Honor 5C has been drop tested from 1.5 meters to ensure that its internal components and display do not break from that height. Also, the phone was subjected to 600 cycles of rapid temperate changes from –40°C to +70°C.
The Honor 5C is available for purchase from vMall.eu, Expansys, Clove and other online retailers in silver, gold and gray for £149.99 starting today – 21% cheaper than the Honor 5X’s £189.99 list price.
