Deal: The Nextbit Robin has been permanently discounted for everyone

Nextbit raised a few eyebrows with its cloud-based smartphone, the Nextbit Robin, last year. Other than relying on the cloud to perform many tasks, the Robin also was priced pretty darn competitively. Since it’s been almost a year since the device was released, it’s been subject to many discounts from different vendors. Now Nextbit is providing a permanent discount.

We didn’t think it was fair that only fans in India and the US got to purchase Robin at a great price. So we’re lowering the price of Robin on to $299 for everyone. As long as we ship there, you’ll get Robin at a great price. And to make the offer even sweeter, we made standard shipping free too. Did you already know that?

Nextbit Robin Specs:

  • Processor: Snapdragon 808
  • Memory: 3GB RAM / 32 GB onboard / 100 GB online
  • Screen: 5.2” IPS LCD 1080p
  • Rear Camera: 13MP with phase detection autofocus, dual tone flash
  • Front camera: 5MP
  • Battery: 2,680mAh
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • NFC

At launch, the Robin was priced at $400, but starting today, anyone in the world can get the device for just $300. The biggest reason why there’s so much focus on the $300 price point for everyone is due to the various discounts vendors not being available in all countries that the Robin is sold.

If you want to get a better idea as to whether the Robin is a good choice for you, be sure to check out Phandroid’s hands-on and first impressions of the device.
