Snapseed is quickly becoming our go-to photo editing application on Android. Just last month, we saw the addition of a few minor features and today, Google has pushed the latest update as version v2.5 which brings two extremely helpful new tools:
- Apply Last Edits from the Main Screen. Use this feature to apply the same edits on a new photo that have been applied to the last saved photo. This feature only applies adjustments that have no local dependencies (i.e. no crop, transform or brush filters)
- Horizontal flip in Straighten (y axis). Use this feature to horizontally mirror a photo, for example to fix front camera selfies which did not get mirrored correctly by the camera app
In addition to being able to duplicate your edits across multiple images, Snapseed is rolling out some more fine-tuned information regarding the metadata for your pictures. You can now view the location of where the picture was taken on a map, providing your photo contains GPS information, of course.
Snapseed is so popular that it earned the top spot for Phan Favs in regards to the best Photography Android app in 2015. Drop us a line below and let us know what you think about Snapseed and if you’re using any other apps to edit your photos on-the-go.
