Xiaomi releases three teaser videos ahead of the Mi Max announcement

Xiaomi is slated to launch its largest device ever, the Xiaomi Mi Max, tomorrow at an event in Beijing, China. While we don’t know much about the Mi Max, the device is expected to have a 6.4-inch display, could be running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and should be featuring a home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

The company took to its forums, starting last week, to start teasing the Mi Max phablet ahead of its announcement, and has released a series of YouTube videos that go over various features of the upcoming device. All three videos are in Chinese, so unless you’re fluent, they can be a bit difficult to understand. Luckily, within the forum thread, Xiaomi gives the meat and potatoes of each video for those who don’t understand what’s being covered.

Video #1: Big Screen, Faster Response

In the first video, Xiaomi is simply highlighting the sheer size of the device, and how well its size will help you whenever you’re in a pinch.

Video #2: Big Screen, Big Battery

The second video again focuses on the size of the Mi Max, as well as how large the battery is that will be found within the device.

Video #3: Fantastic Filter and Big Memory

The final video focuses on how good the camera is with built-in filter features, and how many images that can be stored due to the size of the storage.

Xiaomi wants those who watch the videos to keep in mind that these are intended to be comical, so the translation may not come across the same way as if they were created in English.

Alongside the release of the Xiaomi Mi Max, the company is unveiling its custom software interface, MIUI 8. This is the latest iteration of the software includes redesigned apps for the Camera, Notes, Phone and Calendar as well as a new notification bar.

We are expecting to see the latest Xiaomi Mi Band unveiled, although there is a chance that may be delayed due to production constraints which the CEO revealed last week.
