You’ll have to wait an extra month to get the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 after its announcement

Xiaomi will be unveiling its latest device, the Xiaomi Max, and was expected to announce the newest version of their fitness tracker, the Mi Band 2, next week. However, according to a post by CEO Lei Jun on Weibo, the Mi Band 2 will be delayed due to complications with production.

The post on Weibo states the production will be delayed by a month, so even though Xiaomi may still announce the fitness tracker at its next event, don’t expect to get your hands on the device for a little while.

There have been very few leaks as to what the Mi Band 2 will look like, with the biggest piece of information being the addition of an LCD display with buttons to control various aspects of the fitness tracker. Xiaomi is slated to hold its event on May 10th, so we’ll have to wait until then to find out whether the company will still unveil the Mi Band 2, or wait until everything’s okay on the production front.
