Amazon’s Echo is turning out to be quite the personal assistant. The Echo has been consistently receiving useful updates, ones that aim to make your day to day life a bit simpler. In the past month or so, we’ve seen Amazon add the ability to control more connected devices in your home, such as the Nest Thermostat or the Lutron lighting system. Now, Amazon is bringing some support to your Google life through the calendar.

The latest update integrates a pretty awesome feature with Google Calendar. Now, users can simply ask Alexa to add appointments to their calendar without ever needing to touch their devices. In order to make this new functionality a reality, simply open up the latest version of the Alexa app and tap the “calendar” selection. Now, you’ll be able to add that important meeting to your schedule without a hitch.

Just in case you’re still on the fence, here are a few more abilities that Amazon has added to the Echo and Alexa since its release almost 2 years ago:

The Amazon Echo is available for only $179.99 and the device is so popular that it’s rarely ever in stock. When it is, it’s not very long before stock is depleted. Amazon says they plan on having more units available on May 14th, so if you were thinking about grabbing one, best mark your calendar. Still on the fence about picking one up?
