The Honor 5X was announced earlier this year at CES to a decent amount of fanfare. Many people loved the device for the ultra low price and relatively impressive specs. One thing that wasn’t impressive was the OS. Despite launching alongside Huawei devices with Android Marshmallow, the Honor 5X launched with Lollipop.

The good news is the update seems to be on the way. Honor USA took to Twitter to tease the sweet and fluffy update for the 5X is “coming soon.” That’s all we have to go on right now. For the money, the Honor 5X is a pretty sweet device. $200 gets you a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 616 processor, 13MP camera, 2/3GB of RAM, 3000 mAh battery, and 16GB of storage. It comes in silver, black, and gold on Amazon.
