Google is sending out invites for a mysterious new travel app

It looks like Google is cooking up yet another travel app. Google has begun inviting members to test a new app through their Local Guides program. It will be available on Android and iOS for Level 2+ Local Guides to try out. The invite asks users to fill out a survey if they are interested in trying the new app.

That’s really all we know about this app. Google says it will be a “travel assistant app,” but that’s all we have to go on. Google Now and Inbox already have travel features built in. It’s possible that this new app could be a centralized location for all of your travel information. Google loves to have multiple apps to perform the same function.

We signed up to test the app, which could become available as early as next week. We’ll let you know when we know more about this mysterious app. Do you have any interest in another travel app from Google?
