The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus weren’t the only thing on tap for Huawei’s London event today. The TalkBand 3 also saw a nice refresh today. Huawei has improved over last year’s model with new stainless steel options across the board.
169 Euro gets you the “Active” model in Black or White, 199 Euro gets you “Classic” in Beige or Brown, while an Elite model comes in Titanium Grey for 249 Euro. The main difference is quality of metal on the body of the watches, as well as the default watch bands they’ll ship with. The Titanium Grey model is the only one to ship with a steel link band, for instance.
Beyond that, they all do the same thing. It’ll track steps, calories, sleep patterns, runs and cycling events, and you can share those stats with Huawei’s app to do with it whatever you will. You can also make calls on your wrist, and get notified of incoming notifications with basic alert options with the device’s PMOLED monochrome curved display.
A 91mAh battery inside gives enough juice to go 3-4 days with normal usage, but only around 6 hours if you’re using it to talk on the phone. It can be charged in 1.5 hours, too. Huawei didn’t have exact details for availability of the TalkBand B3, but it shouldn’t be here too far after the Huawei P9’s April 16th launch date.
