The Summer Olympics are set to kick-off this August in Rio De Janeiro. An event this big only comes around every four years, which means every company under the sun wants a piece of the action. A rumor from SamMobile suggests Samsung will be getting into the Olympic spirit with a special edition of the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

The information is from a device codenamed “Hero2_Olympic_edition.” The Samsung Galaxy S6 was known internally as “Hero” and the Galaxy S7 is “Hero2.” It would make sense for Samsung to have an Olympic Edition phone to go with their Olympic virtual reality content. Earlier this year, Samsung announced they would be bringing virtual reality content from the Olympics to the Gear VR. Samsung could use this as another opportunity to bundle the Galaxy S7 and Gear VR. The commercials practically write themselves.

Would you be interested in an Olympic Edition Galaxy S7 if it meant you could get a free Gear VR? Do you watch the Olympics?
