LG sends ‘Play Begins’ invites for Mobile World Congress event, what could they be teasing?

LG play begins press invite

We’re still recovering from CES 2016 last week and already Mobile World Congress (where the real fun happens) is looming near. Kicking off the week’s festivities is LG who has begun sending out press invites for a Feb 21st press event in Barcelona. No word, of course, on what they have planned, but the invite — which teases “Play Begins” — appears to hint at something with a music focus.

Tough to say what they have in store, but with LG going big on Hi-Fi music output on the LG V10, it’s entirely possible we could see a new line of handsets centered around just that. What we aren’t expecting to see is the rumored LG G5 so don’t get your hopes up. Typically, LG likes to announce their flagship smartphone a little later on in the year, only after seeing the cards Sony, Samsung, and HTC have been dealt.

We’ll keep you updated.
