Motorola has updated their list of devices which will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow with four new entries today. One of the entries is very interesting. It’s the 2015 Moto E, a device which many thought would be excluded despite having launched this year.
There’s a catch to its presence on the list, however — it only applies to models outside the US, so those in Motorola’s home country won’t be getting it. Specifically, folks in Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia (but not China) will get it. That doesn’t mean things can’t change, of course. Motorola did add the device to the list, after all, so don’t rule it out.
Beyond that, we also see the Moto X Force, DROID MAXX 2 and DROID Turbo 2 all hop onto the list. Those additions aren’t too surprising as they’re Motorola’s most recent phones, but it’s nice to get confirmation anyway.
Unfortunately we don’t get any information on ETAs, but Motorola has moved quite fast to get their main flagship Moto X Pure Edition going on Android 6.0 so we’re confident it won’t be too long of a wait. Sit tight, folks.
