Samsung Pay for the Gear S2 launch delayed to 2016

0

Wondering when you can use Samsung Pay on your Gear S2? The feature was originally set to launch in November, but Samsung apparently quietly delayed its launch, noting that we won’t be seeing it until some point in 2016.

The reason for the delay is unknown, though we imagine the company is not willing to rush this thing out. They want to make sure everything is in tip-top shape in terms of security, for starters. They’re probably also making sure they polish the fine details on implementation, especially considering they’re doing some cutting edge stuff like using heart rate monitorization to improve authentication methods.

The only thing we can do right now is hope the wait won’t be too long. Samsung surely doesn’t have a reason to drag their feet on it, so it’s our hope that we’ll see the functionality arrive sooner than later.
