If the HTC One M9 was too much of the same and the HTC One A9 didn’t pack a big enough punch for you, then the HTC One X9 should be the phone you’ve been dreaming of from HTC. This device is making the rounds on Chinese social networking site Weibo this morning. A teaser for the phone reveals its potential design which seems to be very sleek and premium-like from our initial glance.

But under the hood is where it really counts for most folks. Thankfully it sounds like HTC might not skimp on that area, either. The company is said to be stuffing in a Snapdragon 820 or Helios X20 chipset, a 5-inch 2560 x 1440 display, 23 megapixel camera, 4GB of RAM, a 3,500mAh battery and 64GB or 128GB of storage.

That spec sheet reads out like a dream, but we aren’t going to be so quick to put all our faith into the rumor. It almost sounds too good to be true, so it’d be wise to curb your enthusiasm and excitement in case it actually is.
