Well, folks — the Blackberry PRIV is finally officially available. You can grab it from AT&T starting at $24.67 per month for 30 months, or $250 on a new two-year contract. You could also buy it directly from Blackberry for $699.99 outright.
The device seems solid on paper, and the thought of a Blackberry Android phone with a traditional slide-out keyboard (even in its quirky portrait orientation) is enough to at least intrigue us, but at several hundred dollars more than options like the Moto X Pure Edition and now more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S6. Add the fact that the early Blackberry Priv reviews seem to be middling and we’d understand if you’re feeling a bit hesitant to jump in.
So, are you buying it? The old company in Waterloo is sure to win a few sales based on name and nostalgia alone, but the majority of potential customers are sure to make their decision based on less shallow factors. Be sure to sound off in the comments and poll straight ahead!
