If you’re an LG G4 owner, you’ve no doubt come across your fair share of issues with the device. We’re not saying the phone is bad, because it’s not. It’s our daily driver. But there are weird little issues like the touch screen missing the occasional tap or other general weirdness. Well, LG G4 owners on Verizon and AT&T are being treated to a sizable system update today and it should take care of most issues that seem to be exclusive to these carrier variants.
Despite Verizon calling it just your regular ‘ol “security update,” the 450MB+ update is definitely much more than that. AT&T was able to elaborate a little more, giving us a pretty detailed changelog on their support page. Here’s what we’re looking at:
Software version: H81010 (AT&T) and VS98612A (Verizon)
- Calendar enhancements
- Battery improvements
- Keyboard enhancements
- LG Backup
- Camera enhancements
- GPS enhancements
- Exchange Active Sync enhancements
- Touch Improvement
- Security enhancements
We hope that after this big update, most issues you’ve been having will be resolved and your phone will be feeling like new again. Since it’s a fairly big one, we recommend wiping your cache afterward to prevent any left over issues carrying over. As for us, we’ll be backing up what we can and performing a full factory reset just to be on the extra safe side.
