Moto X Pure Edition (2015) is receiving a soak test; Android 6.0 Marshmallow incoming?

0

We’re not sure what it is, but Motorola’s sending out a soak test to this year’s Moto X Pure Edition. They’re currently sending out surveys to test participants who want to opt-in to receive the soak test update.

Unfortunately there’s no clue on what, exactly, is coming yet. Could be bug fixes, or security patches. But we all know what we really want it to be. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is a possibility — Motorola has been fast to get new versions of Android out to users in the past, after all. They also don’t have to deal with waiting for carrier customization and approval this time around, so it’s totally believable this could be Marshmallow.

We won’t get our hopes up too high, so we’ll wait for them to start pushing the files out to see what, exactly, we have coming.

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]
