It’s been a few months since our Best Android Phones rankings have been updated. Now that we’ve had time to review both the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus, it’s time to shake things up. Samsung has already been enjoying their time at the top of our list for a while now, but will the new Samsung devices overtake the old ones?
We gave the Note 5 a 4.5/5 in our full review, which is just slightly lower than our rating of the Samsung Galaxy S6. Likewise, our 4/5 rating of the Edge+ is just slightly lower than our rating of the original Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. With four devices receiving such high marks, Samsung is really killing it this year.
Arguably, the more interesting part of our rankings is the bottom half of the list. HTC, LG, and Motorola are battling it out for the remaining spots. Another shake-up is bound to happen soon. The Motorola Moto X Pure Edition is shipping out now, and the rumored LG Nexus and Huawei Nexus devices are on their way.
