When we originally heard about the Motorola DROID Turbo 2, we were told not to expect it until some point in December. It was odd and sad considering the original DROID Turbo landed in October.
But new info suggests we certainly will see the DROID Turbo 2 land well before the holidays. Upleaks, who was the culprit behind the latest DROID Turbo 2 leak, says we can expect to see the device land in October.
The European variant of the DROID Turbo 2, which will come to market as the Moto X Force, is actually the one that’s launching in the originally reported December window, if Upleaks is correct. While that’s still quite a ways away and gives the Moto X Pure Edition, LG G4, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and other popular devices time to win dollars, having an October launch window ensures the phone is on store shelves for consideration during the holiday shopping window, where an uptick in sales is typically experienced.
Here’s a quick recap of the device you can expect to own once it arrives:
- 5.43-inch QHD “Shatterproof” display
- Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 processor
- 32GB/64GB internal storage options
- 3GB RAM
- 21MP/5MP cameras
- 3,760mAh battery
It’s bound to be Motorola’s best phone yet if you don’t count the Nexus 6, and it’s only on Verizon. Will you be holding out for this or going for something else?
