Welp, ASUS has gone and done it. The company today revealed the Zenfone MAX, an affordable phablet that wouldn’t be very noteworthy save for one very interesting detail: they stuffed a 5,000mAh battery inside.
We’re not sure what sort of battery life that would translate to with a Snapdragon 410 running things behind the scene and a 5.5-inch display to power, but we’re sure it’ll be a lot more than most phones in the market can dish out.
Other specs for this phone include a 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera and 2GB of RAM. You’d typically have to buy your phones from unproven companies to get this sort of juice out of the box, but ASUS’ name alone could be enough to get battery guzzlers to finally consider buying the phone that best matches their mobile lifestyle. The phone should go on sale in India starting this October.
