Father’s Day is this weekend. If that’s news to you there is still time to get your dad something great. T-Mobile is doing their part to celebrate fathers with a great deal on the LG G Pad F 8.0. You could get your dad a tablet for free if you qualify for this promotion.

T-Mobile is giving away the G Pad 5 for free if you purchase a data plan for the tablet. To qualify you need a 1GB or higher postpaid Simple Choice Mobile plan. Essentially you’re paying $10 a month for a tablet with data. It’s a pretty sweet deal if you’re looking for a capable device with connectivity outside your home.

By the way, the G Pad F is no slouch. It has a 8-inch display. 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5MP camera, stylus, and it runs Android 5.0. It also has a microSD card slot if you’re into that sort of thing. Check the link below to snag this deal while supplies last.

Ever since I flipped open my first phone I've been obsessed with the devices. I've dabbled in other platforms, but Android is where I feel most at home.

  1. still not worth it. grabbed one for my mom and she hated it. after trying to get it working right, I agreed with her and returned it.

    1. As someone looking to jump into tabs, what was wrong with it?

      1. I know the LG G pad 8.3 google play edition was supposed to be great. If I didn’t already have a tablet, laptop, and 2 desktops I might buy one myself. More than likely it was operator error.

      2. Nothong, I got the G Pad F 8 from AT&T for free with my G4, it’s basically a mid-range spec tablet with a base-range 1GB RAM. Other than having to kill the backgrounders more often than usual, it’s good enough for nearly anyone’s needs. I use my “free” G Pd F as much as I use the G4.

  2. Umm, isn’t that $20/month?
