After AT&T initially announced that Android 4.4.4 (software version 3.42.502.1) was rolling out to the HTC One M8 last Monday, the update was quickly pulled for reasons unknown. We figured it had something to do with the fact that there was no mention of the “Eye Experience” — HTC’s enhanced camera software that was supposed to accompany 4.4.4 — anywhere in AT&T’s changelog but there was no way to be sure.
Today, AT&T has once again updated their software updates page for the One M8 letting us know that the update has begun rolling out. Although the changelog is the same as before, HTC Product Manager Mo Versi confirmed via Twitter that the update is accompanied with the new Eye Experience software as well.

Had it since 8am…….but what I think sucks is the fact that it’s on 4.4.4 like the htc desire eye, but yet the eye has more themes. The M8 still only have 4. I was looking forward to the other themes and stuff
Got mine early this morning… Update is cool, HD Voice works nicely. still trying out battery life and the Eye Experience is cool so far.
Nice improved specification …
Finally adds the file manager; disappointed with dual capture gone. That was the only redeeming feature on the camera until now, having a 4MP camera on a premium phone.
dual cap was turned to split cap
Mine wiped some music on sd card, why?
Why in the world did they decide to force Uber and AT&T Live on us with this update? They already put way more bloatware on the phone than other carriers have. I’m up to 250 Mb of preinstalled BS apps I can’t delete. Makes it tempting to switch over to T-Mo so my next phone can be cleaner.
