By Not long after Sony confirmed on Twitter that the Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z2 wouldn’t be seeing Lollipop until early 2015, the company has uploaded a strange new teaser video to their YouTube channel. At first glance we thought this might simply be an Android 5.0 Lollipop hype reel, with images of a lollipop and the number “5” making brief appearances in the early going.
And then it got weird. Chameleons. Irises (with a reflection of a smartphone in it). Even pregnant women. All of that showed up in the second half of the 43-second spot, and we couldn’t be any more confused as to what Sony’s getting at here. Could that just be the work of a crazed marketing team looking to stuff as many confusing images into one video as they can? Or are they teasing something more in a way that only a Stephen Hawking-esque genius can understand?
Tough to say for sure, but if we know Sony then this video makes us think we’re on the verge of a pretty good announcement headed our way soon. Be sure to check it out above.
