T-Mobile’s Nexus 9 has suffered an unfortunate delay

Looking to snap up an LTE-equipped Nexus 9 from T-Mobile instead of jumping in for the WiFi-only option? Well, that wait just got a tad bit longer. An internal document seen by the folks at TmoNews tells of a delay. There wasn’t clear indication as to when T-Mobile’s version would launch, but many thought it would be well before the holiday season kicked off.

The internal memo doesn’t note another estimated window so, as far as anyone knows, the launch date is still up in the air. Not good news if you were hoping to stuff one of these under a nicely decorated tree well before it came time to rip some wrapping paper apart. Anyone still waiting on T-Mobile’s option or are you just about ready to go the WiFi-only route?

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. I bought the LTE Nexus 7 (2013) and to be honest it’s not worth the wait over the Wi-Fi version. Not only did I have to wait and pay extra for the LTE, but I’m also waiting on the Lollipop upgrade that all the other Nexus devices received last month.

In addition to that, I must pay an extra monthly fee for the data plan and it adds up, especially since I already receive free tethering from my carrier. I like the idea of always having data for my tablet, but I always have my phone with me to tether, making the LTE in my tablet almost redundant.

  2. I’m looking forward to the nexus 9. I’ve never been a nexus owner so this may be my first, if the price is right. I’m ready to cut the “Wi-Fi cord”.
