ZTE decided they wanted to go and pull out all the stops for their latest smartphone, which has just been revealed as the ZTE Nubia X6. The company is not typically known for deliver the most compelling options in the world, but this list of specs will wake you up this morning better than any cup of coffee ever could. Here’s what they’ll be stuffing inside:

  • 6.4-inch 1080p HD display
  • Snapdragon 801 processor
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 128GB of storage
  • 4,250 mAh battery
  • 13 megapixel rear AND front camera

All for about $640, no less. The device also comes in a lesser specced model, though we’re no yet sure where that baseline lies.

Unfortunately this thing likely won’t be seeing the light of day outside of China, but if you happen to be making a move to Hong Kong in the near future then you’ll definitely want to track this one down. Consider making it your next smartphone if you can’t help but to have the most ridiculous suite of specs available.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. thats what online stores are for :) As long as it supports the right networks

    1. Exactly, you don’t want a big ole phone with amazing specs and you are stuck on 2G

      1. Like a Note 3 on the Sprint network?

    2. It has dual sim support 3g and LTE

    3. That’s what I was thinking, I’ll import it in a second if it’ll work on T-Mobile.

  2. (Viewing my spec checklist) Yeah it’s a no go for me unless it has stun gun capabilities. But all the other specs fit my criteria.

    1. If you put it in an Otterbox Armour case (if one existed for the device) I’m pretty sure you could knock someone out by wacking ’em in the back of the head with it.

  3. Holy crap………… o__O

  4. DAT BATTERY <3

    1. The sensation of seeing a device like this could probably be called a techgasm.

  5. 6.4 inches, while I do like the specs this is bordering in tablet territory.

    1. Bordering? It damn near completed its invasion.

      1. We are the Phablet-Men. Your devices will be upgraded. You will all be uniform and large.

      2. Some consider 7+ tablet sized. I’m not liking this trend at all, maybe their trying to cover up the fact that they need a bigger battery.

  6. This is what the Xperia Z Ultra should have been…camera wise and not the crappy one that’s on it now.

  7. Sd Card slot I hope? 256GB would be sploogetastic!

    1. Oh man that’d be great! Either way 128 is sweet. We need more devices with this option.

    2. Yo dawg we heard you like storage space…

  8. No Google Play store. No buy

    1. Not like you couldn’t install it yourself.

    2. You sound like a stereotypical store owner. Hurry up and buy!

  9. Who is buying these gigantic phones? That is just over a half inch shy of a 7″ tablet!

    1. I set my friend’s LG G Flex near my Nexus 7 2014. That phone is quite large. =.S

    2. Depending on the bezel I could see myself buying a device with about 5.7″ screen but if it becomes too large to pocket and/or to pocket without risking losing it I’m afraid I wouldn’t buy it.

  10. PHAT-BLET

  11. And then the phone is outdated in 3-6 months =P

  12. “Woah! Down Boy” *looks at crotch*

    1. Is that a phablet in your pants or are you just rectangled to see me?

  13. This will put the galaxy mega to shame

    1. Everything that isn’t apple puts that garbage to shame.

      1. Galaxy Mega would actually be perfect for people with less-than-great eyesight who don’t really care about specs or being able to pocket your phone.

    2. The Galaxy Mega is larger, but weaker than the Note 2, if I’m not mistaken.
