LG D830 appears in user agent profile, but what is it?

LG D830 User Agent Profile

A mysterious new device going by the model number “LG D830” has been discovered in a user agent profile. Details are scarce, but what we do know is the display resolution weighs in at 1920×1080 and it appears LTE is on board.

If we compare the D830 to LG’s current lineup, the LG G2 falls under the LG D802 model number, while the LG G Flex falls under DX6xx. That leaves the closest model number being the Nexus 5 which, in the US, is also known as the LG D820, or D821 in the rest of the world.

It’s way too early for Nexus 6 rumors, right? Any guesses?

  1. From what I seen, I can only say it’s some form of a GSM phone as it did mention WCDMA, HSUPA, HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, and GPRS.

  2. Maybe, just hear me, just hear me out. Maybe its the Verizon variant of the Nexus 5 ?

  3. Nexus 6 lmao

  4. Pretty sure Chris meant “marked down BY $5” not “TO”. If it were only $5, can’t see how amazon’s stock would have lasted.

  5. Pretty sure Verizon is never getting another Nexus phone, and after the debacle of the one they did get, they don’t deserve a Nexus.

    1. Nexus 5 lags anyway

      1. Are you kidding me?

        1. No it’s laggier than my iPhone 4 running iOS 7

          1. What do you expect? That phone was optimized to have no bells and whistles but just work with low res and optimized low requirements software.

  6. On the browser identication, the value of BrowserVersion is AppleWebKit/534.3 ; looking at
    http://jimbergman.net/webkit-version-in-android-version/ seems that
LG-D830 will ship with Android Jelly Bean 4.3 (LG probably won’t launch a
high-end phone with 4.2 or lower)

  7. The next Nexus 10?

    1. Screen res is too low if it’s 1920×1080

  8. Highly doubt its the Nexus 6, as Peter Chou has all but guaranteed me that HTC will be building the next Nexus..

    1. screw you guys, Im gonna upvote myself to offset you haters

      (•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)

      1. That’s practically asking for even more downvotes :P

  9. Either the Nexus 8 or the G3.

  10. I’ll be really disappointed if LG builds the 2014 nexus phone.

    1. It would suck to have another great phone at a reasonable price.

      1. It would suck not to give another manufacturer the chance.

        1. Valid point. HTC hasn’t had a chance in a long time, and Samsung had a couple of opportunities. The only big names out there that haven’t is Sony and Motorola (if you don’t count the OG DROID or the xoom). I like what Sony has been bringing (minus those bezels and the price) but would love to see Motorola get a chance. I’m sure a Moto nexus won’t happen but I can wish.

          1. I am hopping with the release of the nexus g and the price they gave it, that maybe next year the moto x version 2 will be at a great price sold unlocked.

          2. All I can hope for is that it doesn’t go to over to using amoled. That green/blue hue just doesn’t suit my personal taste. If they can fix that, then I’d look, but probably still not touch.

          3. I’d rather the next Nexus does have an AMOLED screen. It’s the only thing I miss about my S3.

          4. A Sony Nexus would be interesting. Sony phones have solid build quality from what I’ve seen. I don’t mind LG though, I had a N4 and now a G2. Both great phones in their own right, and miles above my LG Dare that I had in high school.

          5. I honestly think right now LG is the manufacturer to beat, and especially as phones trend to bigger sizes LG’s adept display department is the best around to help keep the phone itself relatively small.

          6. They really have turned themselves around. So many swore they would never buy another LG product thanks to the optimus line but started to get people more interested when the N4 dropped with its beautiful design and even better price point. Then we get the amazing g2, N5, and the flex. I really am impressed. I also think Motorola has a lot going on for them. If the Moto x had dropped globally at the N5 price point with the Moto maker option, I really think they would have a good chunk of the market.

      2. If it was Moto, they could have an even more reasonable price given the price of the Moto G.

        1. Yeah right – and what about Moto X pricing?

    2. Me too, I NEED a Nexus MAXX

  11. That’s the Nexus 6 prototype that I’ve been playing around with it the last few days. I forgot to spoof the settings.

    1. I’m hoping that Motorola gets the next chance to bat. Oh how I would love Nexus MAXX!

      1. I second that.

      2. Giggity

  12. Nexus 5 for Verizon?

  13. Nexus gflex

  14. Nexus 4 reboot?????

  15. Verizon Nexus? Probably not but one can dream.

  16. It is an LG product according to insiders at LG.

  17. Maybe a LG G2 Pro? Just guessing they may still want to release a follow up to the LG Optimus G Pro. Unless they don’t plan on releasing a phablet.

    1. This is what I was thinking. The first lg pro(optimus, or something) seemed like a great phone. Better sized than a Note 2 or 3, and with removable battery and expandable memory. I would have bought it easy if it had released on Verizon instead of just the AT&T exclusive it got.

  18. Nexus 5. With a curved display and self healing back. And buttons on the back side.

  19. Maybe that Nexus 4 2013 that there was rumored to be a while back

    1. yeah. I was thinking N4 W/ LTE.

    2. Sounds like a very good guess.

  20. Maybe it’s the next nexus 8 or nexus 10 g flex tablet. I think that would be cool!

  21. i’m calling nexus 8, 9, or 10, probably ten though.

  22. In order for nexus samsung htc lg then moto I’m sorry moto phones feel cheap and ugly

  23. verizon/google project that was discussed when google said no nexus 5 on verizon?

  24. it’s LG’s version of the Samsung Apex!

    haha

  25. Maybe the moto nexus x

    1. No, it’s an LG phone.

  26. VERIZON NEXUS 5 VARIANT!!!!!
