Motorola’s Punit Soni seems pleased with the initial launch of the Moto X on AT&T today, but he knows it’s only the first step. Posting to his Google+ page, Soni let it be known that the flagship handset will reach other carriers (namely T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon) “in days.” A developer edition will also see a launch in the coming days.
What these others won’t be able to boast, at least initially, is the ability to customize the look of the Moto X. The Moto Maker remains exclusive to AT&T, at least initially, leaving one of the phone’s most appealing characteristics off the board for those looking to be an early adopter on another network.
The Moto X will be priced at $199 with a contract across the map. Pricing and release details of the developer edition have not been announced at this time.
