T-Mobile has announced a great giveaway to kick off its #hate2wait ad campaign, where they’re asking customers to show them why they “hate to wait” 730 days for upgrades. Using the hashtag #hate2wait on Twitter or Facebook, users can share their stories either via text or a video and be automatically entered to win one of 730 Galaxy S4 units. That’s one unit a day. For two years. Holy crap.
Beyond that, T-Mobile will also select one lucky grand prize winner who, in addition to the Galaxy S4, will also win a year of paid T-Mobile service, as well as having their story or video featured in T-Mobile’s nationwide #hate2wait campaign, whether it be in print ads, TV commercials and more. You’ll want to “like” T-Mobile’s Facebook status here to get started, where you’ll also be able to find more details about how all of this will go down.
No thanks, FailBook.

I don’t plan on switching from
AT&T, but I hope to benefit from the pressure this puts on them. I
planned on upgrading my daughter’s iPhone4 for Christmas as we were
eligible December 10, but now that has been pushed out to April.
Sounds nice, but in two years it will be the equivalent of giving away Galaxy S2’s!
Yeah, but for right now it’s the equivalent of an S4!
Since this promo goes on for 730 days ….. would you be happy with an S4 in 2 years when everyone else is on an S6 or S7?
It’s like they forgot that Google+ has hashtags.
Try telling a whole story in 140 characters all while including @tmobile #hate2wait and #rules.
i only need like 40 : Verizon stole my wallet
I left T-Mo for Verizon due to horrific T-Mo coverage in Chicago Metro area.
There, plenty of room for oodles of hashtags and still on point.

Hey I didn’t look that deep into the changes, so I could be way off here, but shouldn’t you still be able to keep your upgrade date if you were already in contract? Isn’t it pretty much illegal for them to change existing contracts?
I think the contract has always ended at 24 months, but they let you renew at 20. Anyway, my wife was suffering terrible lag with her Note and they let me upgrade that this month (she had also been pushed out to April) — so I can’t complain too much. Its a dumb policy, but AT&T’s customer service has been phenomenal and their reps are empowered to actually make decisions like that.
lol there won’t be any pressure if you don’t switch lol
If they are still giving away a free S4 729 days from now ….. isn’t that the very definition of having to wait?
