Strap on your best pair of Nike kicks because it’s time to run. Temple run, that is. The followup to the highly successful original, Temple Run 2 is not available for download from the Google Play Store, free of charge.

If you don’t count yourself among the over 170 million who have played the first game, the concept is as simple as the name makes it sound. You are in control of an Indiana Jones-esque adventurer who must outrun ancient beasts, avoid obstacles, fly down zip lines, and more as you quest for hidden treasures.

Temple Run 2 features updated graphics, a selection of new powerups, and plenty of new environments and obstacles to keep you on your toes. Available for only a few hours, its downloads already number in the thousands. Head on over to the Play Store to get it now.

  1. Is not available? Then why bother writing an article about it?

    1. It is, it just didn’t show up in Google Play search results yet. You have to go to it via a link.

  2. Now * had to double take reading it.

  3. Is it any more responsive than the original? I had to time everything about half a second before it was needed because it was so bad. And it wasn’t the phone I was using, Subway Surfers worked perfectly.

    1. nope

  4. If it is not available in the google play store, which play store is it available in? Just a little more info would be great…

    1. Typo – it should read NOW available.

  5. crazy the game just came out and there’s already 4,500+ reviews

  6. i just downloaded it…

  7. Any catch, cost?

    1. nope, but you can buy in-game currency

  8. I thought it was just ok. Still not very responsive as it should and it feels like they just threw too much into the game. I still prefer Subway Surfer and Pitfall.

  9. I don’t know what’s going on, but here’s a link for those that “can’t” find it. I was so confused. Saying it’s “not” in the playstore. I don’t know if I can accept that typo. I mean “t” isn’t that close to “w”… Hmm…

Oh well. It’s not the end of the world, so no use crying over it. Let’s see if this game is fun.

  10. Interesting. Despite the much improved graphics, it actually runs smoother on my phone than the original — even on the highest settings.
