According to the metadata attached to the pair of photos reproduced here, this is our first look at what the Nexus 10’s camera is capable of. The beach scenes were posted to Google+ by none other than Vic Gundotra, and again suggest that next Monday’s New York City press event will be chock full of new Nexus devices.
The photos don’t tell us much about what we can expect from the Nexus 10, but they do appear to have some sort of HDR filter applied. Could Google have added an HDR mode to the camera in Android 4.2? Or did Vic manipulate these photos in some other way, such as Snapseed for Android? Gundotra has demoed the camera software, which was recently purchased by Google, via images on Google+ before. The pictures create more questions than answers.
The Nexus 10 is a 10-inch compliment to Google’s Nexus 7 tablet and is expected to be unveiled alongside the LG-made Nexus 4 smartphone on October 29th. A leaked user guide all but confirmed the device’s existence yesterday.
