HTC One S, One X to get HTC Sense 4+ with Jelly Bean this October

12

Tucked away neatly in the HTC One X+ press release was word that the HTC One S and the HTC One X would be getting a great software upgrade this month. The company confirmed that Jelly Bean would be headed to these two devices, as well as the latest version of HTC Sense — HTC Sense+, if you haven’t heard.

Sense 4+ will add Tap and Go, which is a feature that allows users to connect their smartphones to a Beats speakers’4 unit simply by tapping it with their phone. It’ll also bring a new version of HTC Watch, as well as a video hub app.

If you’re using a version of the device through a carrier you may be subject to delays as they do further testing and/or evaluation, but those with unlocked devices should be enjoying the device by Halloween.

    1. Agreed!! The LTEvo will be even more amazing with Google now and that Butter!!

  4. Does this update apply to the sprint version of the one x as well? HTC EVO 4g LTE..because that’s what I have, and I have had every EVO since the original besides the shift and Id be really disappointed to not see jelly bean come to our device! :( :(

    1. I can pretty much guarantee we’ll get Jelly Bean, just not sure when!? I’m hoping by the end of the year!!

    2. I was thinking the same thing. If the other EOM upgrade there is no reason we wouldn’t get it. Our devices are already a ½ step than the X so the upgrade will only further enhance our devices.

  5. Shouldn’t the title say “this month” instead of “this october”

  6. Is this referring to U.S. carriers?

  7. Coincidentally my One S got the 4.0.4 upgrade today, because Orange takes its sweet time.
But I can’t complain, the upgrade unlocked their new 4G masts so I can use HPSA+ mobile data! Looking forward to finally getting hold of Jelly Bean though, and playing about with Google Now

  8. Dear HTC, please release this update for the Vivid too!
