Sony Xperia Acro S now available unlocked in the US


Sony has just announced US availability of the Sony Xperia Acro S. While this device won’t be coming to any specific carrier, Sony is offering it unlocked through a number of retailers for those on GSM networks. The device will be offered from Sony’s own site and Newegg for $600 starting today, but what are you getting for that non-subsidized price tag?

It comes with a 4.3 inch HD Reality display, Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz dual-core S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 12MP camera, 16GB of internal storage, Ice Cream Sandwich and more.     1. The T or TX will possibly come to AT&T and it will have exclusivity there. This also will come unlocked to US perhaps in Q1 2013. I hope it comes before.

    1. there is a micro sd slot, i have it. (the global version that is)

  3. Is this really with Qualcomm S4 krait, because the Asia version comes with S3 Scorpion.

    1. Sony whitepaper points out it’s Qualcomm 8260, not 8260A, so I think it’s a S3 processor instead.
